AlkaSlim's Four Named Actives
Konjac Glucomannan
The most viscous dietary fibre in common use, milled from the konjac root. It absorbs many times its weight in water and is the ingredient with the strongest weight-management research file — at intakes the label does not individually disclose.
AlkaslimBaobab Fiber
Dried baobab fruit pulp, roughly half soluble and half insoluble fibre. The soluble half adds to the gel that slows a meal down; the insoluble half adds bulk.
L-Arabinose
A plant sugar studied as a selective inhibitor of intestinal sucrase, the enzyme that splits table sugar. Small human studies show a blunted blood-sugar rise when it is taken alongside sucrose.
Spermidine
A polyamine found in wheat germ, soy and aged cheese, studied in relation to autophagy — the cell's recycling process. The human evidence here is early and centred on ageing markers, not weight.
FOUR NAMED ACTIVES
Why AlkaSlim Doesn't Print a Milligram Number Per Ingredient
The AlkaSlim page names all four actives, but exact per-capsule amounts are not published in the materials we reviewed. That matters more here than in most categories, because the glucomannan research is dose-dependent — the fibre only does what it does if there's enough of it. Read the Supplement Facts panel on the bottle you receive, and set your expectations from the numbers you find there.
Before You Order
Before you start: AlkaSlim is a fiber-forward capsule, not a weight-loss drug. Take it with a full 8–12 oz glass of water — never dry-swallow a viscous-fibre capsule. Konjac glucomannan and similar fibres can slow the absorption of oral medications, so separate AlkaSlim from any prescription drug by at least an hour. If you are pregnant, nursing, have a swallowing disorder, or take medication for diabetes or thyroid conditions, talk to your doctor before starting.
